On January 4, 2019, Air Liquide and Yankuang Group Co., Ltd. have signed an agreement to jointly promote hydrogen energy. Both companies agreed to make plans together on the development of hydrogen energy infrastructure and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in east China's Shandong Province and to build a sustainable hydrogen energy infrastructure network.
This agreement comes in the context of the Chinese government’s 13th five-year plan, which aims notably to support the development and sale of hydrogen-powered electric vehicles serving clean mobility. With China being the world’s largest car market, this agreement represents a considerable step in ecological transition.
