Air Liquide announces today its support for the World Alliance for Efficient Solutions, formed at the behest of the Solar Impulse Foundation and its chairman Bertrand Piccard.

In connection with this partnership, Air Liquide is committed to making available for this Alliance the knowhow and expertise of a group of around 100 Air Liquide experts from the fields of energy, water, and materials notably. The objective of their contribution is to identify and evaluate specific solutions in the area of energy that ally economic, energy and ecological efficiencies.

Launched in November of 2016, the World Alliance for Efficient Solutions was created to promote 1,000 solutions that protect the environment and economically profitable. Its mission is to unite the main clean technologies and sustainable development stakeholders, to help governments, local authorities, and businesses achieve their environmental objectives as well as encourage them to implement ambitious energy policies. All of the solutions identified by the members of the Alliance will be presented at COP 24, which will be held in Poland in 2018.

Air Liquide is participating in the development of innovative solutions that improve air quality, like the deployment of hydrogen energy and biomethane for cleaner mobility. As official supporter since 2013 of the adventure of the Solar Impulse, the first solar-powered aircraft capable of flying day and night with no fuel, Air Liquide shares this pioneering spirit with Bertrand Piccard and his Foundation, as well as the desire to evolve energy in ways that create a better environment.
